Daybook for a mercantile store in Charles County, Md., 1784; in St. Mary's County, Md., 1785; and in Rowan County, N.C., 1785-1786. The store seems to have been owned by John Dickey, a resident of Iredell County, N.C., in 1790. William Cowan of western Rowan County may have been a partner.
